都锦生织锦画的断代

两幅三十年代的彩色都锦生丝织画，原装原裱原镜框：

一幅是三潭印月，浙杭都锦生丝织厂监制，R.B.TU

一幅是西湖滨湖公园，中华民国都锦生丝织厂监制，TU CHIN SHENG SILK WEAVING FACTORY

自从2010年前后看见第一幅都锦生的老织锦画之后，各种各样的都锦生老织锦画，手里也有不下二十几种，可是注册商标五花八门，没有统一的规格。杭州西湖有一个都锦生博物馆，里面搜集了不少的老织锦画，尤其是领导题词和后来的领袖画像是一大特色，可是关于都锦生织锦画的断代也不甚了了，足见国人包括都锦生在内，做事都马马虎虎，虚张声势，随心所欲，没有从细微处着手和立档存案的习惯。

Black and white woven silk tapestry depicting Jesus Christ ascending into heaven as four apostles watch. Framed and matted. Woven at the top is "TU CHIN SHENG SILK WEAVING FACTORY HANGCHOW CHEKIANG CHINA." Chinese characters are woven at the bottom. The weaving was presented in 1934 to the Willing Workers Sunday School Class at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren near Port Republic, VA, by Annie M. Shirey.

Small framed black and white silk tapestry of Christ praying in Gethsemane. Top border reads in English, "TU CHIN SHENG SILK WEAVING FACTORY HANGCHOW CHEKIANG CHINA." "N.S.L.O." woven at bottom corner. The number 48 and Chinese characters woven in bottom border. Framed on brown fabric with decal of cross and crown. Collector Nettie Senger states the silk was hand grown and processed, and the loom used to make the tapestry was destroyed in the Japanese invasion of 1937.

上面这两幅耶稣受难图，是弗吉尼亚州桥水学院博物馆收藏的都锦生老织锦画，一幅署名是浙杭都锦生丝织厂监制，一幅署名为大中华民国都锦生丝织厂监制，分别是1934年和1937年左右生产的织锦画。这是一家很小非常不起眼的博物馆，可是人家连该织锦画的捐献人、材质、产地、大小、归类、年代、藏品编号都一一记录在案，免费对公众开放，值得我们学习。
