[读书笔记] 丁尼生 《尤利西斯》 节选

本杰明格雷厄姆八十岁生日爬梯上对儿孙们做了个演讲,演讲最后以这一段诗作结尾。这首诗是写老年的,不过我看了后觉得很受激励,就抄录下来以作自勉:1 p4 j' l0 X1 x7 O7 o1 r/ u

'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.' Z+ }7 g. `9 o6 [; _

# p* o% L' Z8 V) _, ^Push off, and sitting well in order smite
* s! w6 h8 m9 ~# H4 f8 _& m& a 4 u- _% e0 t4 ~# Q. G
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
4 x( K& E& f+ V0 _ % g6 p; ]( p- J+ ?
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
6 V$ D% q3 h  T5 S 9 {5 T  U. Y* y) n/ i1 N5 o
Of all the western stars,until I die.0 Y% \4 `$ X2 k) m1 ^6 j" A5 y

. c# c, F- X; y- a" w5 V% H  EIt may be that the gulfs will wash us down;9 O. N* u7 z. l& O/ w" [

And see the great Achilles, whom we knew.
