本杰明格雷厄姆八十岁生日爬梯上对儿孙们做了个演讲，演讲最后以这一段诗作结尾。这首诗是写老年的，不过我看了后觉得很受激励，就抄录下来以作自勉：

) A- i0 s) g4 }3 HPush off, and sitting well in order smite
5 J' J) ~% v+ h- g7 U2 r4 y: T9 @$ j8 ?
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
/ g3 Q4 K( l& g3 y9 F4 s1 |9 x0 ?
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
/ @' ?) i  y# E' j( B
: Z) i7 R* |! S' R( dOf all the western stars，until I die.

It may be that the gulfs will wash us down;

It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
