[读书笔记] 丁尼生 《尤利西斯》 节选

本杰明格雷厄姆八十岁生日爬梯上对儿孙们做了个演讲,演讲最后以这一段诗作结尾。这首诗是写老年的,不过我看了后觉得很受激励,就抄录下来以作自勉:

'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
, {' f8 P' w0 l& r0 { : x2 R$ }0 J( E( G" c6 n% a0 v" W
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
# \4 q+ H+ Q: u0 I* Q+ t7 \) p$ F + F+ ~2 {" o/ Y. _
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds. d8 _1 e& Z. C

8 |8 E! Q, n2 n: n2 _4 Y- ATo sail beyond the sunset, and the baths; v7 V% z+ F: |6 O$ i  I
5 V4 w* }# e3 B  N
Of all the western stars,until I die.

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
