第61期：我们来谈谈美国和中国的高考吧

如果说中国的高考比美国高考更公平些，其实不如说是招录制度不同造成的分数面前的平等与否。
中国是一刀切的分数线，貌似分数面前人人平等。但也有各种加分措施，比如对某类人下调分数线措施......
美国的则更像是一个系统工程。好几年前我看过一份美国某相当有名望的学校招录学生的标准。从学业成绩到课外活动到有薪工作到推荐信到申请论文......分为好几大类，每类下面设若干小类，每小类规定了可得分数.....最终计算出该生所得总分数，总分高于某个点者，录取。

美国的高考，实在比中国的高考复杂太多。单以我上面说的打分标准下的学业成绩一项论，就细分成这样一堆：

Notes:  The numbers mean “# and above”. So if you got a 2080 for SAT I, you would get 1 point.  Take the highest score from each section (superscoring), unless the college explicitly says that it will follow some other procedure.  Since ACT’s replace SAT II’s, multiply the ACT score by 1.75 if you’re counting the ACT only.  If the college requires three SAT II’s, take the sum of your three highest and multiply by 2/3.  If the university does not requires SAT II’s, multiply your SAT points by 1.75 and add 0 for SAT II’s.  Some schools don’t rank their students; if so, estimate your position. Usually nearly all A’s are 4 points or higher, while an even mixture of A/B’s will merit 1-2 points.  Competitive high schools are obviously a different situation; if you’re in the top 10% at a really state-of-the-art institution, you should give yourself 6-7 points anyway.

Academic Honors General guidelines:  Local/school honor = 1-2 pts  State level honor = 3-6 pts  National level = 7-10+ pts

那倒是，关心孩子上什么学校的妈妈最多。我的几个朋友圈，每个圈子都是妈妈多。每天聊得最多的话题就是升学升学，爬藤爬藤
